About Us
Motivation Behind QxMD
Physicians, nurses, and other health care providers are using smartphones such as the iPhone and BlackBerry in increasing numbers. However, one of the limitations of these devices for health care workers has been the lack of freely available clinical software.
Founded by medical professionals, QxMD seeks to fill this gap. We solicit the input of working physicians and then create tools to help them in their day to day practices.
In addition to creating typical medical calculators that include common clinical formulas, we seek to convert published clinical prediction models into useful handheld tools to assist with estimating prognosis.
QxMD is pleased to be a member of the BlackBerry Alliance and iPhone Developer programs.
