Extraneal (icodextrin) PD solution contraindications. Extraneal (icodextrin) is contraindicated in patients with a known allergy to cornstartch or icodextrin, in patients with maltose or isomaltose intolerance, in patients with glycogen storage disease, and in patients with pre-existing severe lactic acidosis.
