Fundus autofluorescence and spectral optical coherence tomography findings in a case with acute posterior multifocal placoid pigment epitheliopathy.

We report fundus autofluorescence and spectral optical coherence tomography (OCT/SLO) findings in acute posterior multifocal placoid pigment epitheliopathy (APMPPE). Different autofluorescence patterns and OCT findings were observed during the acute and resolution phase of the disease. The combined use of new non-invasive technologies may put new insight to the explanation of the histopathology and etiology of APMPPE.
