A modification of the lateral tarsal strip procedure with resection of orbicularis muscle for entropion repair.

Ophthalmic Surgery 1991 October
The lateral tarsal strip procedure addresses lateral canthal laxity, but is inadequate in some patients with entropion who have overriding of the orbicularis muscle. We describe our technique, which incorporates resection of the hypertrophied orbicularis. We have used this modification of the lateral tarsal strip procedure in 21 eyelids (15 patients) with excellent results.
