Pediatric Dermatology 2022 Februrary 18
Staphylococcal scalded skin syndrome (SSSS) occurs primarily in infants and young children due to hematogenous dissemination of Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) exfoliative toxin resulting in painful erythema and superficial desquamation of the skin. In this report, we discuss sunburn recall phenomenon as a result of SSSS.
