Nail changes before and after heart transplantation: personal observation by a physician.

Nail abnormalities have been described with dermatologic and nondermatologic systemic diseases. A combination of Muehrcke's lines, Terry's nails, and red lunula with hypoalbuminemia, anemia, and chronic heart failure has not been reported to our knowledge. Our case describes the observations of a physician of his own nail changes about the time he underwent heart transplantation.
